Been a while deviantart. doesnt mean i have not been active.

There where sisters that loved to play in the woods. Hide and seek in hollow tree trunks, running, chanting and dancing all thru the evening. One day they ceased to return home, after their playful sessions. They knew the woods like the palm of their hand but a fog so terrible clouded the way. For the first time they where lost.
During the night, they heard a deep voice coming form one of the tree trunks in wich they played. The voice said:

We cant let you go.

The forest spirit fell in love with the chanting and signing of the sisters and tried to claim them as his own.

They could never leave the woods, instead their spirits kept playing inside forever. Trapping and killing passerbys is just a game for them. Born again as the brides of the lifless forest.

Given 2009-06-28

Chilling atmosphere and striking contrast, Brides in the lifeless forest by ~zano is one of the most breathtaking I have come across. True mastery of digital painting at its best here! (Suggested by `ctJemm and Featured by ^archanN)
